Today’s HSC and equivalent exams postponed: Education Advisor Shafiqul Al said
The HSC and equivalent examinations have been postponed today (Tuesday) due to the crash of a training fighter jet at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital, causing casualties, said Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the interim government. He made the announcement in a post on his verified Facebook account at around 7:15 am on Tuesday.

This morning, Shafiqul Alam wrote in the post, ‘Today’s HSC examination has been postponed: Education Advisor’. Earlier, at around 3 am on Monday, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan announced the postponement of the examination in a post from his verified Facebook account.
Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Mahfuz Alam also shared a post on his verified Facebook account about the postponement of today’s HSC and equivalent examinations after 3:30 am yesterday. Md. Mamun Or Rashid confirmed to Prothom Alo at around 3:30 am today that the HSC and equivalent exams have been postponed.
A Bangladesh Air Force training fighter jet crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Uttara shortly after 1 pm on Monday. At least 22 people were killed in the incident. More than 150 were injured.
A day of national mourning has been declared on Tuesday in the wake of the plane crash on the Milestone campus.
